How does the FMS work?

The FMS databases are linked to the National Animal Identification-Registration and Traceability System (NAITS); therefore, to access the platform, farms/holdings must be registered into the NAITS.

With regular data entry into the FMS, system automatically generates:

• Optimal feed rations for livestock to enhance productivity;
• Recommendations for lactation management and control;
• Guidance on managing the fertilization process;
• Recommendations for genetic selection in pedigree cattle;
• Calendar entries with automatic notifications for scheduled farm activities;
• Statistical reports;
• Treatment plans and preventive measures for disease management;
• Data required for certification – based on the system, the state will issue a breed certificate.
